Hey guys! Its a success! A buddy and me went out riding and recording for the day, and he edited together the first dual motovlog. The opening cut is hilarious, my friend rides through an intersection with his rear tire locked up making a trail of smoke. Tell me what you guys think! All input is appreciated.

Im going to be starting up my own little motovlog stuff soon as well. I just have to do a few practice runs and test editing to get a feel for how i want to process the material.

Awesome! Once I get my hands on a new bike I might start Motovlogging a bit.

Extra points for Techotronic.

Your bike still looks awesome though, Haha. Oh, and you sound like Motonosity :)

Camera for both of us is a Hero3 Black edition. He is using a very nice stereo amplified microphone. I on the other hand am using a simple no name brand computer headset mic meant for internet telephone or skype. Im pretty sure its mono and not stereo.

SO far it seems to work just fine and cancel out the majority of annoying noises.

I just have to get my voice down to a reasonable level, i kept yelling haha. Then again, i didnt know how loud i needed to talk.

so when you edit, you just lay the audio files over each other?

I'm wondering becuase my currect go-pro doesnt have wifi, and i want to get a sena....dont want to have to spend another 300$ on a cam to go with it

I'm sure you'll like doing it. Do check out Motonosity, and if you're into different styles of vlogging TheVegasBiker is a good one.

I had the plan to start recently, but I ended up selling my bike over the weekend.

What we did was more or less redundant but more of a fool proof way. Our cameras recorded the video as well as our audio. They are not connected to the sena's in any way. The input mics to the gopro capture our conversations.

Now, i dont know how i will do it. But my friend uses adobe premier (or something adobe) editing, whereas i will be using sony vegas. In adobe, it has a feature that automatically syncs up audio to the video clips to make it easier when transitioning from my view to his view. At least thats what i got from my understanding of how he explained it. I didnt watch him actually edit though.

But i also assume that when the camera on his helmet is being used, his audio is being used. And then my audio (if im speaking) is also laid out as another layer over his video clip.

The only complaint is that i have lots of bulk on my helmet with wires and such doing it this way. But i dont mind as long as im not doing anything faster than 80 haha.

ahh, ok.

well, I have a really light helmet (kaos carbon , 1200grams for a medium full face), so i dont mind adding weight to it.

I will add him to my list of motovloggers i watch haha. Sad to say but ive gone from loving drive/thesmokingtire/motortrend to only watching MCM and the motovloggers.

Awe! I hope youre getting another bike though!

Haha, I've got to agree with you on that one. RCR and motovloggers are pretty much the only things I watch now.

I'm thinking about a used Yamaha FZ6R in mind, along with a '99 GSXR 600 and some other stuff floating about in my head.

It also depends on how you can mount your camera. Mine sticks off the side, causing it to drag and pull my head towards that side. If its center mounted, then no worries.

The sena adds little to no noticeable weight or drag.

mine is off to the side too, need it that way to get the mike to work properly. Although...I wonder.....if some sort of shoulder mount was possible....

YZF600r is another good one, a little chunky but seems like a great all around bike. And if you can afford it, a fuel injected R6.

Just dont get an fzr600 haha. There is a monopoly on tires for these. Only 1 brand still makes the right size for the rear.

Honestly though, look into supermotos. They are way more fun. But if you'd rather the sportbike style, then go for it.

If you have a gopro, im positive there is a mount for it. I mean, there is probably a crotch mount for crying out loud. No im not gonna look it up to find out either...

I've always liked the Yzf600r, it'll be a good option for sure.

But the Fzr looks so nice, Haha.

I've thought about a Drz or something, but the bike would mainly be commuting so I'd prefer a sportbike style.

i parked next to a yzf600 one time on my fzr. And boy was i shocked at just how fat it was. You never really notice just how small these older sportbikes are in comparison to the new ones.

What about some of the cbr600's like the f3 or f4 versions.

I could spit bikes out all day at you haha. Youll find the one you truly want. Word of advice though. Just make sure parts are plentiful on the ebay. As well as checking to make sure they still make tires for your future bike, as well as a rear shock.

The F3 looks pretty nice to me! I'm pretty much open to all sportbikes except for anything made by Hyosung, Haha.

Im notorious for changing my mind constantly, but my match will come, Lol. I appreciate the advice!
